There are a lot of football teams in London. This can make it exceedingly difficult to just pick three of the best ones. In fact, we have no doubt that somebody is going to loathe the three teams that we recommend on this page. However, they are the teams with the most honors under their belts, so you can’t complain about them too much, right?

Chelsea FC

Based in Fulham, Chelsea are a team which have always seemed to gravitate towards the top of the league. However, it is only recently that they have managed to really challenge for the title. Over the past few years, they have managed to notch up four titles for winning the league, the FA Cup six times, and then the League Cup four times.

Part of the reason as to why Chelsea have enjoyed a lot of success in recent years is due to the massive amount of investment they have received from Roman Abromavich, a Russian billionaire. As a result, the team have managed to get their hands on some of the finest players on the world.

If you are in London and want to see Chelsea play, then, like with most of the top teams on this list, it is going to be unlikely. This is because the team always plays to a packed stadium. They are looking to upgrade in the future, though. A tour of Stamford Bridge is going to be a fantastic idea failing that, thankfully!

Tottenham Hotspur

There are probably people complaining that we have put Tottenham Hotspur higher on the list than Chelsea, bear with us here, though. They may not have managed to net as many titles as Chelsea, with the last coming in 1961, but the fact that they have managed to secure eight FA Cups out of nine attempts is noteworthy.

Up until the end of the 2016/2017 season, you would have seen Tottenham Hotspur play at White Hart Lane. However, the stadium is in the process of being torn down and replaced with something bigger. For the time being, if you want to see Tottenham Hotspur play, you will be able to head to Wembley Stadium. If you are travelling to London, then it is likely going to be far easier to secure tickets for this stadium as it is so big. You just need to make sure that you book in advance!

Arsenal FC

While many people are not massive fans of Arsenal in recent years, not managing to hit the league titles, you should be left in no doubt that they are the best side in London history at the moment. If you want to see them, you are going to be out of luck. Getting tickets for the Emirates Stadium is exceedingly difficult. However, if you are lucky enough to score some tickets, then it will be among the greatest football you have ever seen.
